Elisa Gattás is the head of legal of a Brazilian Entertainment Group, where she mainly specializes in the practice of IP protection and enforcement, negotiation, and drafting of commercial agreements, legal marketing, and corporate matters.
She has worked extensively in matters involving management, protection, and enforcement of IPR; Entertainment Law; Internet Law; Advertising Law and legal marketing; Compliance and Anti-Corruption; both as a litigation attorney in a top IP law firm and as an in-house counsel.
She earned her Master’s Degree in Law in 2015 from Universidade de São Paulo – USP and her LL.B. in 2006 from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo. She is also post-graduated in Corporate Law by Law School of Fundação Getúlio Vargas de São Paulo (2009) and certificated in Intellectual Property by Franklin Pierce Law Center of University of New Hampshire (2011).
Besides, she is the author of the papers: ‘The criminal protection of copyright in Brazil’ (prelo); ‘The criminal liability for content sharing on the Internet through peer-to-peer networks’ (2011); and ‘Counterfeiting: an analysis from a public health point of view’ (2011).
