USPTO closes facilities to all
The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has decided to close its facilities to all “towards the health and safety of the people and USPTO employees.”
As said, from (16 March 2020), all USPTO offices will remain closed until further notice.
“Unless otherwise notified, USPTO will keep its operation moving without any interruption.”
Further, USPTO said patents and trademark application deadlines would not be going to be extended, as informed earlier.
Finnish Patent Office closed the Helsinki office.
If we talk about the Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH) has closed its Helsinki office and has asked members to use its online and phone services until further information.

Spain’s ‘state of alarm’ decree extended the court deadlines
The Spanish government has also confirmed the suspension of all judicial and administrative periods for the next coming 15 days due to the outbreak.
The order came as a reason for the government’s state of alarm decree because of the Covid-19 outbreak. This decree could extend past the 15 days.

INTA’s CEO “Etienne Sanz de Acedo said, “While we originally decided to reschedule the annual meeting for May or June, and had planned to start registration a few weeks ago, we held off because of the fast-moving developments and escalating uncertainty of the public health crisis.”
“We believe that extending the meeting until November is the most viable and most accurate decision for the time been. Health and safety is our top priority.”
IIPLA Virtual Conference 2020
If we talk about a few more conference organization who usually organize Annual Conference are also postpone or switching towards the virtual meeting, and in them, we have IIPLA (International Intellectual Property Law Association). Azam Ghani, CEO of IIPLA, also informed us that this is the time when we have to change the way we are doing the conference. IIPLA is going to organize all the meetings virtually, which will help members to join the discussion remotely and keep them safe from this pandemic virus.
