Dr. Liu’s practice concentrates on patent analysis, strategic counseling, and portfolio management. She also represents clients in trademark, licensing, and technology development matters. She has advised companies of varying sizes in diverse verticals related to computer technology, such as image processing, cloud computing, communication networks, e‐commerce, gaming, consumer electronics, and medical devices. Prior to entering the legal profession, Dr. Liu held positions in technology and management consulting. She has a significant research background in artificial intelligence, as applied to Internet communications, database system management, computational biology and speech recognition. Her research findings can be found in peer‐reviewed journals.
