As a Patent Attorney at Blank Rome LLP., Amir Shiva concentrates his practice on a wide variety of intellectual property and technology issues, including patent litigation, patent preparation, and prosecution, licensing and acquisition of intellectual property rights, preparation of legal opinions, freedom-to-use analysis, and client counseling on various intellectual property issues. As a registered patent attorney, Mr. Shiva has represented several Fortune 100 tech companies in diverse areas of technology, including semiconductor, telecommunications, electronics, computer software, video streaming, camera technology, and graphic processing.
During law school, Mr. Shiva served as a judicial intern for the Magistrate Judge Smith of the Southern U.S. District Court of Texas. Additionally, he won a second-place at the Lorance & Thompson Negotiation Competition and was awarded the John Ventura Scholar position in 2014. Prior to law school, Mr. Shiva held multiple IT consultant and project engineer positions at various organizations in Houston, Texas. He also worked as an electrical engineer at a computer memory fabrication facility.
